Key points:

The facade had deteriorated to the extent that the footpath below had been closed due to the risk of falling debris
We were engaged to do a facade inspection and make safe the tower, including the spire
This involved documenting all defects and removing loose debris
Using industrial rope access the works were able to go ahead with minimal disruption to facility users and pedestrians

Outcomes:

Immediate mitigation of risk from falling debris
By documenting risk, we are able to offer a qualitative and quantitative approach to ongoing risk management
Ability to develop an ongoing strategy for risk mitigation
